
The murmurs around the internet are saying that Frank Mir could face Cheick Kongo next at UFC 107. Both are coming off disappointing losses, especially Kongo. Cheick Kongo finally looked like he was putting together a real MMA game but after getting taken down, and held down by Cain Valesquez the whole fight it looked as if we were watching Kongo circa 2 years ago. He was finally rising to number one contender status but now he has dropped a rung and is probably going to get kicked off the ladder once he faces Mir.

UFC 101 is going to be explosive with a main event between lightweight champion BJ Penn and Kenny Florian. Also, UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is jumping to light heavyweight to test his might against former 205-pound champion, Forrest Griffin.

This is all the more reason Fedor needs to sign with the UFC. He can’t still keep fighting in second rate organizations and expect to garner the respect he deserves.
