On Tuesday there were reports all over the interweb blogs talking about Forrest Griffin’s recent hand injury. It was reported that he broke his hand during the Griffin vs Evans title fight at the recent UFC 92. Griffin is currently recovering from surgery on one of his metacarpals and is hoping to be rehabilitated in two or three months.
With the surgery and recovery time, Griffin is hoping to return to the Octagon on one of the major summer cards. He has a medical suspension from the state of Nevada that will keep him out until at least June.

The winner of this bout will become the Interim Heavyweight Champ and be first in line to fight Brock Lesnar to see who is the undisputed Heavyweight Champ.
Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva
Rampage Jackson def. Wanderlei Silva via KO Rd. 1
This is going to be an exciting fight, Wanderlei has already beat Rampage twice, but the two have not fought since 2004. Who has evolved the most as a fighter?
In a recent interview Frank Mir regarding his upcoming fight with Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira at UFC 92, Mir has stated that he looks to go the full 25 minutes of the fight. As we’ve seen in the past, Nogueira is a very hard man to finish. He has been knocked down numerous times in the UFC and come out of the fight a bloody mess, but managed to get a submission on his opponent to end the fight. Mir on the other hand is the man who holds the only victory over Brock Lesnar in the UFC, who recently defeated Randy Couture with an authorative knockout at UFC 91. When it comes to jiu jitsu, Nogueira has the obvious advantage due to his longer holding of his black belt and also has a black belt in Judo as well. If it does go to the ground, Mir will have to be able to stop Nogueira’s slow pressure game that he likes to play on top. This is going to be a sure test for Frank Mir and it is his chance to step up and take the interim heavyweight belt. Check out the rest of the UFC 92 Fight Card here and the UFC 92 Results here.
Here is the video of the two previous fights from Pride. Rampage needs to be able to defend against the knees to win this one. Can’t wait for this card. If this doesn’t get you pumped up for the UFC 92 Fight Card then nothing will.
