After his recent knock out and the folding of Elite XC Kimbo is taking Dana White up on his offer from 2008:
“What has the guy done to deserve to be in the UFC? Nothing. I don’t consider him a real athlete or anything. He won’t win The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). The offer is out there if he wants to take it and he won’t win it. I might [put a heavyweight show together just for him].”
Well, TUF 10 is a heavy weight show and Kimbo Slice is on it. The only part of that statement that hasn’t proven to come true is whether Kimbo is going to win or not. I am going to go out on a limb and say that Mr. Kimbo Slice has a chance if he ends up in Rashad’s camp.
Slice is a freak of nature with untapped potential. You could argue that he was trained by Bas Rutten and we didn’t see this unlocked potential shine but there was definitely a sharpening of his skills. If he ends up with a fighter from Greg Jackson’s camp training him we could see a scary fighter emerge. Teach him some of Rashad’s wrestling to defend getting taken down and some game plan strategy and that freak of nature just gets scarier and might just have a chance.
Either way Dana White showed more of his marketing genius. This show is going to be a ratings monster. If Kimbo does do well then the UFC ends up with a pre-branded and marketed fighter ready to sell out events. I for one, will be watching!

I think Kimbo wants to show the worls that he is for real. That he trains hard and wants to be the best fighter he can be
Kimbo is more then just a gimmick. he wants to be the best
