The UFC 96 results will be posted live on March 7th as they go down in Columbus, Ohio at the Nationwide Arena on Pay Per View. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is coming off his brutal knockout victory over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92 and is working his way toward a title shot. He wants his belt back badly, but he won’t get that shot if Keith Jardine has anything to say about it.
Jardine has been seen as a stepping stone to a lot of people on their way to a title shot, a large portion of them didn’t make it past that step. He has upset top echelon fighters like Chuck Lidell, Forrest Griffin and Wilson Gouveia but has never quite made it to the top of the ladder. It has been stated by Dana White that if “Rampage” wins this fight he will be set up for a title shot against current light heavyweight champion “Sugar” Rashad Evans.

there were all kinds of posts on the GSP-Penn fight. that was the 1st time I ever ran across this page. where’d everyone go?
Jardine won’t last a minute against rampage. The rest of the
I don’t like Jardine, but I can’t write him off after what he did to both Liddell and Griffin
The rest of the card sucks weiner
Dunno…Ram is like Liddel, pure striker & Jardine beat Liddel the exact same way Griffin beat Ram so it could be interesting. I agree tho, this isnt exactly PPV standards but no complaints really. Dana gives us plenty to watch on Spike, major kudos to him for keepin the fans in mind.
Jardine is a weird fighter, and yah, we all have to remember that he was able to out last Liddell. The Greg Jackson camp is not an easy one to beat right now.
oh & I DO think the Carwin/Gonzaga match is a great undercard. If Carwin had a little more experience & was undefeated it coulda been the main event.
he is undefeated dum ass , he is 11-0
can you not fucking read
I wanna see how vera looks he had disappointed me lately
Yah me too! I was really stoked when he came back after like a year off because of his dip shit manager but since then he hasn’t been the same.
I agree, he came out on fire & it almost seems like he dont even care for the game anymore. & if he stays @ 205 & starts winning he’ll have to cross his buddy rampage eventually.
You think he has a chance? I’m wondering if he is even close to the caliber of fighters in his weight class
I hope Matt Hamill shoots to the top of his division but I feel like he isnt at the right training camp
I feel the same way, it’s like he just can’t turn the corner or something.
I like Hamill too. & he’s a bull no doubt, both giving and ability to take—that lip in the Tim Boetsch fight that came from a knee I mean GEEZ. Boetsch is a barbarian too & Hamill just walked thru everything. 1 Prob–Hamill is GAGA over his wife/kid ( I think he got both if I remember right). Can he keep his heart/mind there AND in the game? It’ll be great if he can. 2nd prob–Will ‘Ace’ hang around in that division & can Hamill handle gatekeepers like Ace & Henderson in that division? He lost to Rich once. I havent seen the fight but they have ALWAYS been great friends. Crap I’m off track lol.
I don’t know what the deal is with Hamill, he hasn’t shown real consistency in my mind. He is always dangerous but there need to be a turning point for him where he is just a good fighter but a great fighter, I am wondering if that will ever come.
Predictions comin up soon. I SUCKED last time lol but it was my 1st whack @ it.
Let’s see them
no pressure….no pressure…no pressure lol. 1st I think many will agree that w/ the super-strong class of fighters @ 205 this shouldnt lead either fighter to a title shot. That said, here we go.
1st FIGHT–Did Page learn anything from the Griffin fight? Doesnt matter. I think Jardine has a suspect chin. Leg & body kicks may make this go longer than most expect but I cant see Jardine not getting clipped @ least once good time. Page by KO.
2ND FIGHT–Heres hoping Hamill doesnt get caught up in a muay thai fight. He’s strong enough not to but is he well rounded enough mentally to avoid it? Going w/ Hamill.
3RD Fight–Brown, submission.
4TH FIGHT–Would be a BIG notch for Carwin to pull this off. Maybe 1 more top fight before a title shot. Cant see it tho. Gonzaga is too well-rounded & I think, a pretty good game-planner. Gonzaga by submission.
5TH FIGHT–I like Maynard. Maybe because I’ve always liked TOOL lol. But the guy has beaten Clementi AND Edgar in the last year. Whats a guy have to do to get a title shot here? Maybe beat Miller. I look for a good fight. Miller by sub or Maynard by late KO or decision. Favoring Maynard.
6TH FIGHT–Wow. Kind of no-mans land here. Depends on which fighter shows up in both corners I think. I still think adv. Grove tho.
7TH FIGHT–I cant pick against the last Tim Boetsch I saw in a UFC fight. I hope he brings that this time. Boetsch by KO.
8TH FIGHT–Maybe another pick-em. Vera lost to awkward Jardine. Patt lost to a beast in Boetsch. Jardine is kind of awkward to a lot of fighters & Vera has really only been dominated by good true heavyweights. Diff division. Lean kind of strong towards Vera. Precision punches = KO.
9TH FIGHT–May be a good fight. McCrory is tall. Susceptible to submissions but thats not supposed to be Madigans game. Experience goes to McCrory. He might want to consider keeping Madigan grounded tho otherwise he’s a BIG target for a kickboxer. McCrory by sub.
10TH FIGHT–Easy decision. Well, for me lol. I think Nelson is a punk in the truest sense & I simply hope Riley uses experience to school him big time
Place your bets! lol. Hey, its safer than the stockmarket.
Wow, we have very similar tastes in fighters. I totally agree with the Rampage fight, if he doesn’t get stalled with leg kicks then I say this ends quick with Rampage connecting with Jardine’s chin.
someone post up some results
Just got the prelims up and the Maynard fight up, congrats on getting the first main card prediction right.
Results posted live? Where?
nm. got it
same here, got postings up top
Wow, Matt Hamill didn’t mess around this time, huge head kick FTW!
man where is the result?
All the fights are up.
Well, appears Evans/Jackson is already set. Prediction–Jackson will have a 2nd “unconcious” knockout on his resume’.
oh hey…..7 outta 10. Could say 9 because I wouldnt have picked shane against an 0-10 fighter lol.
Looking for UFC Fight Night-Condit v Kampmann on this page. Li’l help here?
The Condit v. Kapman results won’t be on this exact page, we’ll get some posts up pretty soon here talking about the upcoming Fight Night, you should sign up for the newsletter too, you’ll be sure to get the updates that way. Good job on your predictions too!
i believe shane carwin is the real deal, look for him to be the next champ.
I think that he definitely is a force to be reckoned with, I remember when Anderson Silva came onto the scene and KO’d Leben and I was like “Who’s this guy?”, could the same thing be happening with Carwin?
Leben has a concrete chin & can walk thru MOST peoples punches. Silva has some SKILLZ but Carwin is packin 250 lbs behind a punch. He’s not been tested to see how well rounded he is (can you say Lesnar/Mir?) lol.
dear UFC RESULTS–wheres the results page for the upcoming UFC Fight Night?
One more thing….UFC 100 coming up. Rogan has said that when Silva isnt worried about makin weight he walks around like 218-220. Fedor weighed 230something last fight. How flippin UNREAL would that headliner be & wind up w/ an UNDENIABLE best pound for pound in MMA period.
*NEWSFLASH* Last night after the fight they had UFC 98 Evans v Jackson. They still have that as the header but its actually got Evan’s opponent as TBD!
Pickin Fight Night Early, hope no card changes. I’m bored lol. I can always copy/paste this site posts a page for it right?
