Diego Sanchez will be dropping down to 155lbs at UFC 95 to face UFC lightweight contender Joe Stevenson in London, England on February 21st. Stevenson has had multiple bouts in the 155lb weight class while Diego Sanchez will be making the weight cut for the first time. This could play a large roll in the cardio and strength Sanchez will have coming into the fight.
Diego Sanchez has already had some harsh words towards Stevenson, most recently saying that he looks like a white belt and isn’t a true black belt. As Sanchez has been training with Saulo Ribeiro in San Diego, he has been getting top of the line brazilian jiu jitsu training which he sounds more than happy to show off against Stevenson in the upcoming fight on Saturday. Time will tell.
