Dean Lister, who recently suffered a loss by decision to Yushin Okami at UFC 92, requested his release from the UFC and it was granted to him. Lister is an Abu Dhabi Combat Club champion and is looking to take his grappling skills elsewhere.
Dream and Affliction are already in talks with him.
In a promotion like Dream he could soon be facing another ADCC Champ Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, who recently got second place in his last tournament. Also in Sengoku he could be looking into fighting other BJJ stars such as Xande Ribeiro if he chooses to fight at 185. Either way it appears Lister is out to prove himself to the world in other promotions besides the UFC.
