At the moment this fight could be an un-aired preliminary bout, but with these two hard hitting competitors I could see this one making the cut.
Anthony Johnson (3-2 UFC) in his last fight finally found redemption with a huge head kick for his controversial loss to Kevin Burns via eye poke (see pic above).
Luigi Fioravanti is a tough fighter although his 4-4 UFC record doesn’t really show it. He can give Johnson trouble with his very heavy hands but it is questionable if he is going to be able to trump Anthony Johnson’s speed and athleticism.
It was rumored that Johnson was initially going to fight Mike Swick next but he decided to fight sooner, this could be a good move for him. Fioravanti is respected and tough so with a win over him Johnson will start to become a household name, which in turn will make the Swick fight even bigger.
Cross your fingers and hope this fight does make the televised portion of the even because it has potential to be very exciting.
