Josh Neer ended his 2008 fight season in the UFC on a loss and started 2009 with charges of eluding police and a hit-and-run. Add an apparent DWI into the mix and his future as fighter doesn’t look good in the immediate future. He has an upcoming fight February 7th against Mac Danzig scheduled but again it’s all up in the air at the moment.
“Josh Neer … hit two cars. One of those happened to be a police car at 4th and Court Avenue. Neer took off and police chased him for twenty miles, hitting speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. Police tried a pit maneuver at 6th and Euclid Avenue to stop Neer. After that failed, Neer drove into Urbandale and eventually made it onto Interstate 80. That’s when Neer’s car blew a tire near the east mixmaster.” - whotv.com
