UFC Signs Deal for 3 More Years on Brazilian TV

Posted on December 18th, 2008

Starting with the upcoming UFC 92, the UFC will be showing on two Globostat channels in Brazil, Premiere Combate and SporTV. As of two weeks from now, Premiere Combate will be airing all of the UFC’s events for three years, including UFC PPV events, Fight Nights and the Ultimate Fighter. They will also be showing the series UFC Unleashed, which showcases awesome knockouts and some of the historical match ups in the Octagon.

This is going to be a great thing for the Brazilian fans as they have some of the best fighters in the UFC. The UFC 92 fight card features two great Brazilian fighters on the card, Wanderlei Silva and Antonio Nogueira. Not to mention the best pound for pound fighter in the world, Anderson “The Spider” Silva. This is a great market for the UFC to tap since Brazilian Jiu Jitsu originated in Rio. Check back after the fights to see the UFC 92 results and see how the Brazilians stacked up against Frank Mir and Quinton Rampage Jackson.
