Undefeated UFC fighter Thiago Silva was set to fight in October against another undefeated UFC great, Lyoto Machida. It has been announced that he has sustained a back injury that will prevent him from participating in October at UFC 89. It has been speculated that the winner of this fight will become the number 1 contender for the light-heavyweight division, Chuck Lidell begs to differ. Many people believe that it should be Machida as he has defeated some of the UFC’s stars, most recently being Tito Ortiz at UFC 84. Alas this will most likely not be the case as Dana White has reported that if Lidell beats Evans in the UFC 88 Results he will be the one getting the title shot.
